It has never been cheaper to start a side project. I cannot draw, so I had Claude write Blender scripts and generate a cat for my dock instead. 706 renders later, the useful finding is which half of that collaboration actually worked.
I wired Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini into one harness and made them review each other's code until they agreed. One run caught a real bug the tests missed. One burned four dollars arguing with itself. Drag a slider to change the rules and watch the cost change.
I built a retrieval system over all of Wikipedia on my laptop, then made it refuse to answer when it doesn't actually know. The full build: parsing 25GB, 14 million chunks, two-librarian search, and the one-line bug that took a crash report to find.
