A guy in tech.
I write about building with AI: the tools I'm using, the things I'm trying, the patterns that hold up after I ship them. New writing arrives when I have something worth saying.
I built a retrieval system over all of Wikipedia on my laptop, then made it refuse to answer when it doesn't actually know. The full build: parsing 25GB, 14 million chunks, two-librarian search, and the one-line bug that took a crash report to find.
Slides, PDFs, status pages, explainers, throwaway editors. I write one HTML file and headless Chrome prints it to whatever the moment needs. Six things I now make this way, with the prompt for each one and a mock of the actual output.
I stopped opening dashboards weeks ago. The agent next to me wasn't either. We were both using doors I never used to think of as doors. The full ecosystem of CLIs, MCP servers, and REST APIs that lets agents drive your product, and what changes when you build for them.
More writing arrives when I have something worth saying.
I write when there's something I've actually built or tested worth sharing. No clickbait, no AI slop, no schedule pressure.
